Yoga

Diane is a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher - a student and practitioner of yoga for 15 years and a teacher since 2019 (KOSA YOGA).  Diane teachers students of all ages, genders and abilities - stiffness is not a barrier to practicing yoga! She teaches classes indoors and outdoors in the warmer months. Yoga is a wonderful practice that can be valuable on a number of levels - it can improve our awareness of our physical body , our emotions, our mental resilience, our outlook on the world and how we value and look after our own body and make us more aware of our thoughts and internal dialogue. It can also be a powerful tool for the breath - we learn to observe the breath before using postures and breathing exercises to change the breath - into a state of relaxation or to increase our focus and energy. Yoga postures have the power to lift the energy from dullness and direct excess energy back into the body. It allows us to become a  better version of ourselves. Through yoga, we get to understand our bodies and make friends with it. Of course there are challenges within our practice which we can safely explore - helping us embrace these challenges positively.
